Outdoor Lighting Services
Landscape & Christmas Lighting Shaped Around Your Property
Outdoor lighting should reveal the character of a property without drawing attention to the fixtures themselves. At Landmark Design Company, we design each project around the property.
Our approach is warm, balanced, and restrained. Instead of treating brightness as the goal, we consider sightlines, shadows, glare, and transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. The result is a plan that looks integrated with the property rather than added afterward.
Property-Specific Lighting Design
We don’t sell pre-packaged systems. Fixture placement, beam direction, color temperature, shielding, and spacing are considered in relation to the property as a whole. A stone facade may call for a different approach than painted siding, while mature trees, retaining walls, and open lawn areas each affect how light carries through the site.
Our recommendations focus on what will work for the property, not on building the largest or most expensive system. We work through the options with you until the coverage, visual balance, and priorities make sense. Our goal is to create landscape lighting and Christmas lighting that bring out the absolute best in your property.

Personal Service Backed by Lighting Experience
We started Landmark Design Company as three people with a long personal history: two brothers and a lifelong friend. That foundation still shapes how we communicate with clients and approach their properties.
With nearly 20 years of outdoor lighting experience, we regularly work with luxury homeowners and custom builders who value design judgment, professionalism, and close attention to detail. Clients get to know us, and we take the time to understand how they want their property to look and function after dark.
Start with a Thoughtful Lighting Plan

Good Questions, Straight Answers
-
Can outdoor lighting be added to an existing system?
It depends on the existing system’s condition and capacity. Assessing its components and layout can show whether it can be expanded or needs repair or replacement.
-
How long does an outdoor lighting installation take?
Installation timing depends on project scope, site access, and landscape conditions. We can discuss a realistic schedule after evaluating the property and defining the design.
-
What affects the cost of outdoor lighting?
Cost depends on project scope, site conditions, and design complexity. Defining the intended coverage and overall scope is the best way to establish an appropriate budget.
-
What maintenance does an outdoor lighting system need?
Routine maintenance may include fixture cleaning and adjustment, wiring inspection, and troubleshooting transformers or controls. Plant growth and other landscape changes can affect light distribution, so fixtures may need periodic repositioning.
