Christmas Lighting Standards in The Woodlands
Homes in The Woodlands are subject to the Residential Development Standards, which set dates for seasonal displays. Seasonal decorations and lights may be installed no earlier than the first Monday in October and must be removed by January 15 of the following year. Lights may be turned on no earlier than the second Monday in November and may stay on through January 15.
The Standards also say displays must not become a nuisance or annoyance to the neighborhood. Requirements can vary by neighborhood, and commercial properties follow separate design standards, so please confirm the current guidelines for your property before scheduling installation.
